hmm....i haven't done this in a while...it feels weird...and seems kind of pointless...but for some reason i am compelled to do it....i just got back from middle school camp yesterday, which was really great....but at the same time really hard to be there because I just kept being reminded of what I was missing not being at NLR this summer.  There was an incredibly bittersweet moment of the weekend that i will never forget, and most certainly meant more to me than anyone else in the entire camp, when Chris King, who is now my boss here in Tulsa, decides to play one more song by himself at the end of the night and follows up a very encouraging dialogue with the old summer camp theme "Follow Me"....it was pretty incredible....yesterday i also had another great experience, where i was reminded of how greatful I am of my education, and that I am no longer a product of Fellowship Bible Church or of New Life Ranch....but rather have developed a faith of my own...I would much rather be stuck with just a question than have only somebody else's answer

I think that the worst thing in the world would be to slowly begin to develop super powers that are really awesome...only to then find out that you are not a super hero, but rather a super villian with an evil destiny.

Jimmy: Why do you think that God allows so many people to suffer from poverty and suppression, without ever hearing the gospel?

Billy: I don't know, why don't you ask him?

Jimmy: I can't do that.

Billy: Why not?

Jimmy: I'm afraid.

Billy: Of what?

Jimmy: I am afraid He will ask me the same question.
